Valentina Contopodi is the Head of Events & Communications, overseeing the planning and hands-on delivery of communication and event projects. She supports initiatives from concept development and coordination through to implementation, ensuring clear, audience-focused communication across various channels.
She holds a degree in Socioeconomics from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, with an international focus. Her academic interests centre on socio-economic and public policy issues in international contexts, and on how communication and well-designed formats can help make complex topics more accessible. Her thesis focused on gender inequality, exploring how disparities manifest in social and economic structures and which factors shape them.
She brings experience in communications and event management. Her responsibilities include managing social media presences, editing newsletters and website content, and tailoring information for different target audiences. She also supports events from planning and organisation through to on-site delivery, including coordinating operational processes.
In her role, Valentina combines analytical thinking with a strong feel for content, audiences and effective formats. She works at the intersection of communications, stakeholder management and event design, with the aim of making relevant topics visible and reaching diverse audiences.
